FM urges growing Iran-Bulgaria cooperation

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here on Monday that Iran and Bulgaria should use their common stances on the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation to expand bilateral and regional cooperation.

“Bulgaria is a member of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and Tehran wants to have a observer status in the organization. The two sides’ common stances provide a good opportunity for expansion of cooperation at bilateral and regional levels,” Mottaki told New Bulgarian Ambassador to Tehran Plamen Shukurliev.

He said mutual cooperation and support for each other in regional and international organizations is a good idea.

Shukurliev said for his part that relations between Iran and Bulgaria have been old and they have always maintained their good relations.
